From Randy Heise - Exec. Director

We will be transitioning into new territory. We will be working simultaneously on two different houses in two different locations. Since we have never done that before it will take a bit to figure out how to make sure we have the right number of folks in each location with the correct tools for the job at hand.

In addition to that, John Lysaker has agreed to lead a "Brush with Kindness" team that over the next few months will be building two wheelchair ramps and maybe doing a few minor home repairs for elders in the La Pine community. Those efforts are in partnership with 'Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers' who will be providing the funding. This partnership with IVC has received both the blessings and encouragement of Habitat International who see it as a way for us to reach out and help more members of our community at no cost to the affiliate.

Anyone with ideas on how we can be efficient with our manpower and tools when working in multiple locations feel free to share them with James or I. It is not something I have experience with and I'm hoping a few of you ex or current contractors have "been there and done that" and can get us off on the right foot.

The photo on the right shows Caroline painting the closet doors on her new home.
