In 2010, Newberry Habitat opened its ReStore in La Pine.
Located at 52684 Highway 97 near Wickiup Junction, the ReStore sells good, used building supplies and home furnishings.
Donated materials have flowed steadily into the store, and shoppers find a great selection of good, used furniture, cabinets, doors, windows, fixtures, appliances, hardware, and others items, priced at a fraction of their original cost.
The ReStore is not only a great place to shop, it’s a great place to work. The store is staffed by a crew of volunteers, led by ReStore manager Rolando Alonzo. These folks enjoy their work, particularly since the sale proceeds help build more Habitat homes in Southern Deschutes County.
Whether you’re shopping or looking for a place to put in some quality volunteer time –or both- check out the ReStore. And donations of materials are always most welcome. If you have a large item and need help, the ReStore can pick it up.
The ReStore is open Wednesday through Saturday from 9:30 to 5.
