Over the next few weeks we will be transitioning into new territory. We will be working simultaneously on two different houses in two different locations. Since we have never done that before it will take a bit to figure out how to make sure we have the right number of folks in each location with the correct tools for the job at hand.

Anyone with ideas on how we can be efficient with our manpower and tools when working in multiple locations feel free to share them with James or I. It is not something I have experience with and I'm hoping a few of you ex or current contractors have "been there and done that" and can get us off on the right foot. To learn more, contact Newberry Habitat Executive Director Randy Heise at 541-593-5005.

The second volunteer opportunity involves the ReStore in La Pine, which depends on volunteer workers. Store manager Rolando Alonzo has assembled a good team, and they can always use more help. Again, the job doesn’t require extensive experience, there are many jobs that can be learned by working alongside the existing team. To learn more, droip by the REStore at 52684 Highway 97 near Wickiup Junction, or call Rolando at the store, 541-536-3234.

If you have experience with the organization and operation of non-profits, particularly in the areas of financial management or fundraising, Newberry Habitat can use your help. Again, Newberry Habitat’s Randy Heise is the contact at 541-593-5005.
Join the effort to provide hardworking South Deschutes County families with good, affordable housing. It’s rewarding and it’s enjoyable.
